Adventure Arts Academy
Who We Are and Why Choose Us?
Owner, Director & Lead Teacher
Miss Alicia is a certified K-8 Kansas public elementary teacher with two degrees from Kansas State University. A former preschool director and Kindermusik educator, Alicia is a wife and mother of four who has spent over twenty-five years teaching and inspiring children of all ages in a variety of classroom settings. Alicia is also a professional performer who has appeared on stages around the region. She finds great delight in combining her rich experience and education into creating a wonderful artsy and academic program for preschool children.
After graduating from the Storling Dance Company's pre-professional program, Miss Chelsea became a scholarship dance major at Oral Robert’s University, graduating with a BA in Dance Performance. Chelsea has since danced professionally with Storling as well as abroad through various dance missions. In addition to implementing dance and movement to our program, Chelsea thoroughly enjoys teaching for the Kansas City Ballet and The Culture House Academy for the Performing Arts! Her gifted ability to guide and motivate children bring much richness to our program.
Why Choose Adventure Arts Academy?
Music and the Arts Enhances Learning Like Nothing Else
Researchers agree that music and movement, a major part of our program, broadens learning and touches the brain like nothing else can, triggering new neural connections which help in mathematics and even fine motor skills like cutting. While children have a blast adding these dimensions, along with creative play, academic learning becomes second nature.
Choose Your Days
Families can reserve anywhere from 2 - 5 days per week. Whether you work part-time or full-time, or just desire a fantastic few days of learning for your preschooler, we're here for you!
ALL- Inclusive Program
We're delighted to bring the best of all worlds in our bright and cozy home. We love the warmth and consistency, structure and spontaneity, and a program that includes everything most parents of preschoolers are looking for. (Pre-K skills, music, drama, movement, creative play, hands-on activities, character building, Christian based bible stories and scripture memory.)
We can't wait to meet you!
Always ready to interview eager 2 1/2 -5 year olds and their families who are looking for quality, savvy (whole-child) care! We're eager to share our love for children, gifting in teaching, and flair for the arts with your prized possessions.
