Director and Lead teacher, Alicia Mock is a certified Kansas public elementary teacher (with 2 degrees from Kansas State University), and former preschool director. She is a wife and mother of 4 who has spent the last 20+ years teaching and inspiring children of all ages. She has even spent some of those years homeschooling her own children. Alicia has also performed professionally on stages around the region, and spent 7 years teaching internationally acclaimed "Kindermusik" at Church of the Resurrection. She finds great delight in combining this rich experience into creating a wonderful artsy and academic program for preschool children.
Alicia, along with her husband, Cary (music teacher and professional singer/actor) have performed professionally together around the KC metro area for the last 12 years. They also have served in worship arts both leading music, and helping produce to drama for church services and holiday events at 3 area churches.
Chelsea Brown, lead teacher, implements dance and movement into our program. Her arts background training locally at The Culture House Academy of Performing Arts, and graduating from their pre-professional Artist Development Program launched her into a path of professional teaching and performing. She received a scholarship to study as a dance major at Oral Robert’s University, graduating with a BA in Dance Performance. At ORU she had the pleasure of performing under local and guest artists such as Amy McIntosh, Roman Jasinski, David Parsons and Bill Evans. Chelsea thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to translate her love of dance and children through teaching at the Kansas City Ballet School, working with preschoolers at Adventure Arts Academy!
More Reasons to Choose Adventure Arts Academy!
*Music and the Arts Enhances Learning Like Nothing Else
Researchers agree that music and movement, a major part of our program, broadens learning and touches the brain like nothing else can, triggering new neural connections which help in mathematics and even fine motor skills like cutting. While children have a blast adding these dimensions, along with creative play, academic learning becomes second nature.
*Choose Your Days
Families can reserve anywhere from 2 - 5 days per week. Whether you work part-time or full-time, or just desire a fantastic few days of learning for your preschooler, we're here for you! *Specials for teachers as well.
*ALL- Inclusive Program

(Pre-K skills, music, drama, movement, creative play, hands on activities, character building, Christian based bible stories and scripture memory.)
