Chelsea Brown Villamayor
Lead Teacher
After graduating from the Storling Dance Company's pre-professional program, Chelsea became a scholarship dance major at Oral Robert’s University, graduating with a BA in Dance Performance. Chelsea has since danced professionally with Storling as well as abroad through various dance missions.
In addition to implementing dance and movement to our program, Chelsea thoroughly enjoys teaching for the Kansas City Ballet and The Culture House Academy for the Performing Arts, where she also instructed for their recently established college dance program! Her gifted ability to guide and motivate children brings much richness to our program. Chelsea has two other profound loves, her husband Al, and dog, Iko. THEY ARE EXPECTING a BABY in October of 2025, and Chelsea will be weaning away her duties on staff, but blessing us with occasional substitute teaching when she can!
Tricia Davenport
Assistant Director and Lead Teacher

Tricia has a degree in theatre education from Central Methodist University. She taught high school and middle school, but found a love of early childhood education over the past ten years at Colonial Preschool where she most recently was their Assistant Director/Curriculum Coordinator.
In addition to bringing her theatre background into the classroom, Tricia was certified to teach vocal music after college and loves to add music to her lessons. As a former Zumba instructor, she loves a good dance party with her students!
When not at school, Tricia enjoys being home with her husband, Josh, and her daughter, Madeline. She loves reading, going to the theatre, attending concerts (certified Swiftie!), jigsaw puzzles, home improvement, and watching TV. You can also find her taking walks around her Waldo neighborhood (with an occasional stop at a coffee shop or bakery).

Josephine Zion - Assistant Teacher/Lunch Helper
(Both Classes)

Jocie is so happy to be part of the team! She has always loved being around kids and their energy, curiosity, and big imaginations, which make every day fun and meaningful.
Jocie grew up dancing and helping out with the younger children in her life. That experience sparked a passion for working with young children and led her to attend and graduate from the Störling Conservatory of Dance degree program with a certificate in dance. Jocie incorporates music and movement into her daily life. Whether dancing, playing, or just being silly, she enjoys helping kids feel confident, creative, and loved.
She is also excited to know each child and their families, and looks forward to learning and growing together!"
