Beyond Daycare, Comprehensive Program

Our two classrooms, The Busy Bees and Butterflies will enjoy a bright and spacious space beginning Sept 2 at Heritage United Methodist Church with an adjacent outdoor playground.  We aim to prepare students for the rigor of elementary school, while cherishing the idea that young children learn through play.  (We will continue to enjoy and finish our 11 year run until then with our combined class of  3-5 year olds at Adventure Arts Academy currently operated in the home of Alicia Mock)

 

We nurture the practice of self-regulation, love and respect for one another, all while fostering community, warmth, consistency, and structure, coupled with spontaneity.  Our thematically planned curriculum and weekly regimen includes everything from  kindergarten preparatory skills practice, music, drama, movement, creative play, hands-on activities, thematic art, monthly themes, story time, character building, classroom holiday parties, and more.​​

Music and the Arts Enhances Learning and Bi-Annual Peformances!

​Researchers agree that music and movement, a major element of our program, broadens learning and touches the brain like nothing else, triggering new neural connections that help in mathematics and even fine motor skills.  When adding these artistic elements, along with creative play, our academic learning becomes second nature.

​Our directors, are also our lead teachers and have bachelor degrees as well as extensive training and experience working with both children and in the arts.  Our additional staff are trained and feel an enthusiastic love for and calling to work with children. ​​

Our daily routine includes 2 snacks and lunch.
